what does it do?

Grey water treatment project will work on two methods of treatment. And we can measure its results by calculatig chemical oxygen demand (C.O.D.).Basically I am working on aeration of water and providing artificial lighting for algue growth. These two methods will increase oxygen level inside the grey water.I will design and fabricate aerator for grey water and LED lightning inside the tank. The project will work on solar power. I will design control system for this project.

who's done what beforehand?

I did market survey of this problem. Aeration method is not new to all.But for aeration purpose hardly used with grey water.Another method that is artificial lightning! This method is also exist but rarely work done in grey water.

what did you design?

I've designed following things for this project,

-Input device - water level sensor

-Output device - relay board

-Plywood aerator

-Driving mechanism like using belt drive I will rotate that aerator.

-I did five trial of C.O.D.(chemical oxygen demand) on grey water.

-Now I am working on seawood seeds instead of algue.Which will help in photosynthesis process under the grey water.

This week I've dedicated the work for cutting the project parts and assemble them, also will work on electronic processes.

My final project is all about enriching oxygen level in the water and use that water for the toilet flush.

Work done till now

Around 40% work is done.My aerator is ready to use but it needs finishing..it will takes two days for that!.Project driving mechanism is ready,like I decide how to run my aerator. Now after Two to four days I will shift on electronic part of my project!!!

How its going to be use full to Vigyan ashram?

How it will benefits directly to the society?

Is there is any issue of maintanance?

how will it be evaluated?

You can evaluate this project normally. The end result of this project is how much chemical oxygen demand decreases in number of days.The quality of treated water also matter when evaluate this project. The smell of water should removes from the tank water.
