Possible Final Project Proposal

“Just accept, don’t be attached. Attaching is selfishness” in buddhism.

I would like to make life essentials with minimalistic approach,

What do we need to feel ‘at home’? losing materials without feeling lost. I had internationally transient childhood, now I am ATCK (Adult Third Culture Kids). I’ve moved so often that object and things are not important anymore. Living minimalistic lifestyle isn’t just about restraint, but being free from un-essential and redefining objects and needs. After traveling and moving with two luggage, I revalued personal items and built awareness of myself and my lifestyle.

Terminology:

TCKWorld: The Official Home of Third Culture Kids (TCKs). (n.d.). Retrieved January 31, 2017, from http://www.tckworld.com/tckdefine.html

TCK - an individual who, having spent a significant part of the developmental years in a culture other than that of their parents, develops a sense of relationship to both.
Global Nomad - one who grows up in a country (or countries) other than their passport country. This term implies an internationally transient childhood.
Home Culture - the culture with which one feels the strongest affinity. This may be the culture of one's birth, passport, or a culture in which one has lived, as all three of these places may be different for a TCK.
Host Culture - the foreign culture in which one lives while they are not in their own home culture.

Sidenote: I have seem so many people who is not native to countries they live in. Immigrants often times were getting disadvantage in payments, visa, and health care. Also they weren’t treated the same due to lack of language skills. Then I thought about war refugee, natural and man-made disaster. Maybe, I could challenge myself to fabricate for them.
