Application and Implication
Assignment:
The assignment for this week is develop a plan and define a scope for my final project.
Proposal:
My final project is about weighting any items in a weight scale while it fixed inside the bag.
What will it do:
The idea is to ease your travel by measuring your items in a bag automatically especially before going to airports where the weight of luggages is an important matter and any extra weight above the allowed will incur additional fees.
Who has done what beforehand:
I have discussed my idea with family and colleague alike for an idea that can be utilized by everyone and used on a daily basis. As per my experience with traveling with many airlines in as single trip it can be back pain following the luggage weight policies for your stuff.
The luggage scale in the market as per the picture above can cause back pain and stress on your body if you are measuring luggages that are too heavy and more than one.
What materials and components will be required:
1-Bag
2- Weight Sensor
3- Sensor Amplifier
4- LCD
5- 5-3.3V regulator
6- Resistors
7-Attitiny with I2C
Note: additional may be needed depends on the development of my project.
Where will they come from:
The material some of them will be ordered like the sensors and the LCD and others components already are available from the lab.
How much it will cost:
1-Bag = $ 30
2- Weight Sensor = $ 6.65
3- Sensor Amplifier= $ 10
4- LCD= $15
5- 5-3.3V regulator = $ 1
6- Resistors=$1
7-Attitiny with I2C =$1
Total Cost approximately: $ 64.65
What processes will be used:
1- programming

What processes will be used:
1- programming the weight scale
2- programming the sensor
3- embed the components with each other
4- program the LCD
5- embed all components in the bags
what question need to be answered:
1-Will the LCD show the wight in screen?
2-Will the weight sensor will measure the items ?
3-How will the items in the bag will be measured accurately?
What the schedule:
1) 7-8/6/2017 join the components together, soldering maybe needed.
2) 9-10/6/2017 programing
3) 11-12/6/2017 fixing and auditing the my project performance.
How it will be evaluated:
I believe the evaluation base on the original idea of my project and the demonstration and usage for real life purposes.
