This week deviates from the technical stuff and puts into perspect the non-technical but (equally if not less) important aspects of the design, business plan and commercialization . The task of this assignment is to:
The project which I have managed to produce in fab lab is just a prototype version of a Medicine delviery Robot. During the design and development process I have learnt many new things and experiences many new ways to do things. So in future I will have a better understanding of doing things right to get better and cost effective results.
Currently i made my project the open source non commercial, becuase I want to share this knowledge with others. As being a teacher its my passion to share information with others and help them understand better.
In future, I would love to simplify and add further features in my product as I know currently it lacks many things and features.
For commercial products, I need better ideas and development of the project and this project will serve the base of that commercialization.
During Niel's lecture I came to know about several different intellectual property liecense models namely the creativecommons, the MIT license and the FabLab liencense etc etc. I didn't have enough time to sift through the fine details of these models however the crux of these license agreements are:
Layers of License
The MIT License is a short, permissive software license. Basically, you can do whatever you want as long as you include the original copyright and license notice in any copy of the software/source
Advantages of MIT License
This is the MIT License
MIT License
The Creative Commons copyright licenses and tools forge a balance inside the traditional all rights reserved setting that copyright law creates. These tools provide a simple, standardized way to grant copyright permissions to creative work. The combination of these tools and our users is a vast and growing digital commons, a pool of content that can be copied, distributed, edited, remixed, and built upon, all within the boundaries of copyright law
I have attached and secured the Creative Commons License, which is embedded in the webpage at the bottom.
