Laser cutting

This week we learn how to use the laster cutter and the vinyl cutter. i was using Rehino and illustrator for making the sketch to print. as we were asked to make a parametic design i was trying to make a ¨waffel ball¨ but unfourtunatlly the i couldn´t able to make my own parametic design and i used this wonderfull grasshopper script (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/m/discussion?id=2985220%3ATopic%3A57179) that make a solid waffle for a laser cutting.

As i wanted to make a cardbored ¨waffle¨ ball I connected a sphere form to this script in grasshopper and could easily control the radius of the sphere and the script took care of making the cuts ready to print in the laser machine.

VINYL CUTTING

I was using illustrator for makeing some test with the Ronald vinyl cutter that we have here in the lab, i found it easy to conrol and the results was good.
