Composites

Making a Composites:

I thought i will make a small pot, with Burlap rope and white cloth

I made a design in catia of Octagon circle and made a small grows and according to those grows made a another support parts

I thought i will cut this pieces in shopbot, But unfortunately shopbot is not working, so i shifted to laser cutter and cutted the cardboard pieces in laser

After completing the design saved into .pdf format, cutted the 2 pieces of bottom and 4-4 pieces of side support objects

After completing the cutting, i just assembl it and sticked the cloth from both side with using the fevicol

Now it seems good and stable, so i choosen the burlap rope and rounded it fully to that circle

I did this work twice, so it can more stability

And sticked with Araldite epoxy resin mixed in 100:80 and sticked to Burlap rope with the acrlic stick

Waited and waited for 6hours and sticked the another same rope on that first rope with second rope and same waited for 6 hours

Then cutted the one piece of cloth with 600*10mm and sticked it from outer side and waited, now its looking good

This bowl is looks nice, but its not like attractive

It looks very good, we tryid some funny images and capture it

Second trail using Burlap sack

I thought i will make one another trail with burlap

I choosen the burlap cutted into 3 pieces of 800*10mm

Taken the old Octagon then started to mixing of Epoxy resin with 100:80 resio

Now the resin mixture is ready it's time to apply them on the burlap. I started cutting the pieces of burlap as desired

The very first layer of burlap I got it saturated with plenty of epoxy on top, Then on later pieces it was needed to make it saturate as we did the first layer. I applied it on 3 layers also, then try to pix it on the octagon and I make sure it all 3 layers are fixed properlly
