For Second week assignment i chossen Catia V5 & Inkscape softwares.
CATIA - which stands for Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application - is the most powerful and widely used CAD (computer aided design) software of its kind in the world. CATIA currently stands at version level 6, better known as CATIA V6. The most widely used version of CATIA at present is CATIA V5, with CATIA V4 still being used in some industries, mostly in conjunction with V5.
In this design i just want to show a brief design of Advance Mobile-bathroom how it looks in acutully
I Installed Catia V5 in my PC
And started learning about the catia 3D software
Important things in catia are Sketch, Sketch based features, Dress up features, Transformation features, References and View
Firstly go to tools options parameters and measure units change it into as you like(in india mostly use millimeters)
Once again go to tools generals and set the automatic backup(as per your time) i set it for 30mints
Starting with go to the main menu file new part and start your making of 2D drawing
Part 1 i first started making plywood 2d design 1. 1300*200mm, 2.900*200mm
Then i extrude it too 20mm
then i took 4 reference points and made a center line (commond pad)
Then i made 2 holes from both sides of ply at a distance of 100*100mm and R.13.5mm
Then i made 900*6*10mm deep grow (pocket)
And saved into cad file
After that i made same part without holes and saved into cad file
Then i made 4 acrlyc sheets of 900*310*6mm
Made pvc pipe with 2 different sizes of 1.1820mm 2.900mm of ID 20, OD 26
Then i made a 4 joiners for pvc pipe
After this i went for part assembly and done this like picture
Catia v5 is good 3D software while i am learning i put lot of efforts on this but once you get and set on this software its very easy and friendly but yes there is some challenging things but finally i done something which is feel me so happy

After getting a good experience in Catia, i started working with solidworks its seems same and while starting we need to figure out the things how it all
So i started second design for my final project of scissors mechanism, so according to that i started working with solidworks
We allready had a student version of solidworks in our lab computer and i started the designing of project
And i started making of designs of Final project with solidworks, firstlly made a side support crancks and Top and support parts
How ever i started to making designs its seems very easy to work, so like that i done with all my parts.
Assebly its littel bit easy to find the opstions in solidworks compare to catia for assembly and making the Mate.
I just went to ubantu software center and istalled the Inkscape software
Started the inkscape its very good and easy to use software
It is easy to make simple design things in 2D
Then i just went to inkscape tutorials and started my final project design
Then i made a small simple simple parts in 2D
Then add started to adding all my designs and making
Important things in inkscape while making shapes Adding shapes,Making Guide lins, Draw the desings with using the pen, Piking the object from where you have to start
After making the part stock fill is good thing(but make sure that fill % more than Zero(0), if is not 0 then colour will not change)
