Computer-controlled cutting

 

Design, make, and document a press-fit construction kit

 

 

For the activity of this week I have chosen the development of a box-shaped elephant.

 

The idea was inspired by a footstool that my father in law did to my mother in law. The box can be used as a jewelry box or to store cigars. It is decorated with a label made in vinyl suggesting an oriental rug.

 

For the design LibreCAD used and pieces of MDF were cut using a laser cutter.
