what does it do?
As my final project i made a device for medication management for those who suffer Alzheimers disease.which is portable ,handy and smart ,its actualy a gift for my gradma,she is suffering Alzheimers for the past 3 years and she forgets many things,most importantly her medication,she always forgetting to take pilles on time.This device can alert her to take her pills on time and will notify her which pill she should take at that time.
who's done what beforehand?
There are lots of products in market,but here i need a pill box for 1 week use and it should be portable.
what did you design?
Designed and made a device can alert her about her medication time by blinking a led and display an alert message and beeping buzzer.
what materials and components were used?
In order to make an e-PILL REMINDER device the following will be needed:
Electronics-PCB ,LEDs,Buzzer,Attiny44,Battery 5v,Battery holder,LCD display,Capacitors,2x3 jumper,(2x2 jumper),Resonator,Male and female pins, Equipment case-ABS,acrylic RED,Vinyl.
where did they come from?
This idea actually came from my mind ,my grandma is suffering Alzeimers disease for past 3 years,and my mom is her care taker,she always forget to take her things ,always forgeting the way back to home and all.
how much did they cost?
I have not bought anything from outside,used from Fablab inventory.cost is lass than 6 Dollars.
what parts and systems were made?
wrist band(failed),electronic pill box case,Electronics part with LCD display ,Buzzer,LEDs,pIll box cover.
what processes were used?
Molding and casting,3D printing,Laser cutting,PCB Designing,Milling,Soldering,Vinyul cutting,Input output devices,Embedded programing.
what questions were answered?
Answered all question How to design,whats are requirements,how to programm,how to make it as a device.
how was it evaluated?
Based on working,modules used,Designing,i hope i have made based on my requirement.
what are the implications?
Future implication is make it as a consumer electronics product and try to reach people maximum,would like to add some more modules to make Alzheimers patients completely independent.
