class3: Computer-Controlled Cutting
1. vnyil cutting
This week’s assignment request vnyil cutting any design. I choice “AIGAMO ROBO’s Logo”, is project Logo mark that Fab lab HAMAMATSU proceed with. This project is miking weeding robot for rice framing.

I copied Aigamo Logo from HP. then I traced it by illustrator. I trid to cut useing by CraftRobo (Grathtec) I use it as a decoration of my PC.
2. Laser Cutting
This assignment requested to make structures with parametric joints.
I chose “Oda mocco” as the joint’s designs.Oda-mocco is one of Japanese emblem”Kamon”家紋, is used by Nobunaga Oda.
Nobunaga is my local hero and most famous SAMURAI in japan.
The reason I chose it is that I would make woven stuff of its design useing by disital circumlar loom (my final project), but also it has a regular pentagon.

Kamon is used to decorate and identify an individual or family. That mostly have simple circular radical design. these are also imitative of several plants and arms etc. I think “Kamon”s is funny as Nanduti motifs.
For engraving, I traced traditional design of “Oda mocco” ussing by illustrator.
Then, for cutting, I trid to parametric design using by Fusion360.
At firast I measured Oda-mocco’s ‘design.
then, I defined each parameters base on it.
I made cutting design by its parameters.
I tried to Lazer cuting using by universal vls4.6. The cutting condition is as follows:
Material : MDF T=2.5mm
Laser Power : 40W x 100%
Scan Speed : 1,270mm/s x 9.2%
3. Pless-Fit design
I made cucuber cuter with that joints. Because I have heard that “Oda-mocco” designed to be imitative of cut surefece of cucuber. Addionaly I want to show everyone that I tried fabacademy whole eating fresh vegetables
Jointing slit of Mocco deisgn has big taper. So Its slits should be narrow. Popular technique slits for joint 2.5mm MDF are 2.4mm.But on Mocco degin should have 2.3 mm slits.
Oda-mocco like cutting surefece of cucuber.
I woven Nandoti race into Oda-mocco joint.
On My final project I would make big size of Oda-mocco by my big circular loom.
