Overview
For this week's assignment, It was required to design and implement a modular press-fit kit on the laser cutter or the vinyl cutter.
For this task, I made a simple kit consisting of 3 main parts, and an acrylic box where I can store it.
1st Step: Understanding Parametric design.
Parametric design is a paradigm in design where the relationships between elements are used to manipulate and inform the design of complex geometries and structures.
In this task, it would be useful to use this design concept as it would be easier to change and modify the design of the press-fit without having to modify the whole design.
2nd Step: Getting to work!
1st: The KitTo draw the design on the computer, I used Inkscape "Clone" feature to draw the first design.
This is how it looked at the begining.

After 1st trial of implementation on laser, the material turned out to be thicker than the slot. So, I had to adjust the dimensions.
To do this, I used Vcarve pro as another tool for drawing CAD. I found major error in the design, but I got it fixed.
After Modifying the design, I imported it to Corel Draw, set the machine sttings and laser cutted it.
I get those final shapes.
